Gabrielle Jammal

I’m Gabrielle. People call me the tea lady.

I’m a certified tea sommelier specializing in hospitality, tea education, afternoon tea and pairings. I ran the tea program at the Baccarat Hotel in New York, where I sourced rare teas lead in-person and online tastings, and educated guests through specialized tea service. My love of tea has also brought me in the direction of healthy living. I’ve been studying herbalism since 2020 and am a certified aromatherapist.

Raised in New Jersey by parents with British and Middle Eastern roots, I come from a long line of tea drinkers. Growing up, no afternoon was complete without a daily cuppa together.  

My passion for tea has been featured by Robb Report, Fortune, Barons, Forbes, Bloomberg Pursuits, Departures, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, New York, Food & Wine, and many other publications.

Hospitality

Over 15 years of experience in food & beverage hospitality from Baccarat, Teavana, and Origins. I also consult with brands to improve their guests’ tea experiences. Previous clients include Van Cleef, Morgan Stanley, Anheiser-Busch, and Blantyre Hotel.

Herbalism

I study herbalism and aromatherapy as forms of holistic health. Certified by the New York School of Aromatherapy and currently completing my herbalism certification at Arbor’vitae. I also craft small-batch natural lotion bars, herbal balms, and other cosmetics.
